Epic Mega Jam 2020

Virtual Reality(VR) game designed for the Oculus Rift S and Oculus Quest, featuring an endless wave-based gameplay format.


Technologies - Unreal Engnine/ UMG widgets / C++/ Oculus Quest with link.
Role - Implemented combo power-ups, created materials, and optimized Megascan assets for VR compatibility. Designed level and lighting, developed a leaderboard with UMG UI and 3D widgets, and established 3D widget interactions.

In a world where only four elephants remain due to rampant poaching, players are entrusted with the vital mission of preventing the extinction of these majestic creatures. Utilizing a magical bow and an array of special arrows, players aim to save falling elephants and accumulate the highest score on the leaderboard. The game's mechanics involve shooting magical arrows at the elephants to save them from plummeting. Each elephant saved drops power-ups that grant players ten special arrows, enhancing their ability to rescue more elephants. Special arrows include Burst arrows (with 3 and 5 arrow variations), Volley arrows (also in 3 and 5 arrow variations), and Homing arrows, each distinguished by different colored power-ups. The game concludes when three elephants hit the ground. The project cleverly acknowledges the irony in its premise of shooting animals to save them, adding a layer of thoughtful commentary on conservation efforts.

Movement – Right Controller thumbstick (movement direction based on controller orientation)
